Types of Coupon Codes
If you have ever bought a beauty product, a domain name or a PDF download online, you have probably seen a little section on the checkout page where you have the option to put in a coupon code. Today is it very common to find coupons in almost any kind of website where you can purchase products and services. If there is collaboration or partnerships between websites, then this is the time when online coupons are created.
Coupons are given so that customers can get a discount on their purchases although there are actually many different types of coupons. With an online coupon you could get a 50% discount on a beauty product you are purchasing, or you might get free access to a PDF download that would have otherwise had to be paid for, or you might even get a free upgrade to a certain subscription plan you are registering for. Whatever it is will depend on the merchant site. If you are one who looks for online coupons, you will find out that there are three kinds of internet coupons being offered by companies. The code coupon, embedded coupon, and the deal coupon are the three different types of coupons offered online. Let us see the differences between these coupons.
The code coupon is very common and this what is usually asked for in the checkout page of any business websites. The way to use code coupons is pretty straightforward. The coupon code can be obtained from certain websites which you need to copy and then when you check out for your purchases you simply apply the code when you are asked to write in a certain portion of the checkout page. Normally, after you’ve pasted the coupon code, you should click the proceed button and your total bill will automatically be updated. Sometimes you need to refresh the page so that the total bill will be updated.
Embedded codes are not as popular as coupon codes but they are actually easier to use. With embedded coupons, there is no longer any need of codes to apply to your purchases. You will simply need to click a corresponding link that will automatically update your final bill. Because you don’t copy and paste codes, there is lesser room for error for embedded coupons.
The last type of coupon is the deal coupon. Deals are found advertised around merchant websites and this coupon gives side-wide discount. The creation of this coupon is done with the collaboration of a merchant site and another website, blog, or online personality. These deals are promotions for the whole site. Unlike the coupon code or embedded code, deals are made all over the site when you are making purchases, and unlike the two, there is no need to enter a coupon code or to click on a link.
